"The Sugar Conspiracy"
« on: April 09, 2016, 01:20:26 AM »
Many of us know about Ancel Keys and his successful crusade against good, nutritious fat.

Here's a long-ish (but well worth reading) article about a couple of heroes who fought the good fight against sugar back in the 70s - 80s.

Wow! Lots of history here I never knew about! My education started with Dr. Lustig.

I think Dr Yudkin wrote "Pure, White & Deadly" much earlier than 1972.

Well, 1972 is the earliest date I've found thus far for this specific book; it was reissued at least once.  The book fell into obscurity since the 80s and was hard to find until fairly recently.

Perhaps Yudkin published articles prior to 1972?

I think I'll snag a copy of the book.

Great article!  I saw it the other day.  I think it was the diet dr that tweeted a link to it. I'll have to keep an eye out for it too.

I've also searched for earlier editions, but 1972 is all I can find.

You're right. It was another one The Slimming Business which he wrote in 1958.
