Dessert - Almond halwa / sheera (porridge)

1 cups almond, soaked for 2 to 3 hours
peel out the skin and pat dry in a blender
put all the almonds and half cup of milk and blend it into a nice thick paste.

in a deep pan take around 3/4 cup of ghee
heat the ghee and pour in the almond paste
allow it to cook till it turns a bit light brown
keep stirring so that it does not stick to the bottom
more the ghee better the stuff
you will get a beautiful aroma
add your sweetners, a small tea spoon of powdered cardamom seeds and 4 to 5 strands of saffron mixed with a teaspoon of hot milk
cook for a minute and transfer this into a container
after dinner take a small helping and heat in microwave it for few seconds enjoy .

When are you making some.
I just had some made from semolina, not almonds.
No meds since June 2011
