I was finally able to locate a fresh pork butcher shop and bought about 1/2 a kilo of fat. I want to make the grease /oil out of this. Do I just need to boil it or add something for better result. He also had some ready oil which I also bought for comparison. I don't trust the shops and they might be adding some things to the oil therefore I want to make the oil myself. Any tips ?

I would 'render it' in a pan on low heat until is was all melted.  Then poor it into a storage container using a few layers of cheese cloth to filter out any meat or foreign solids.   I store ours in the fridge, just to be safe.   

We get all of our from saving the bacon grease.  We poor it after making bacon in a metal bowl that then goes into the fridge.  When the bowl gets full we warm it in a pan and the filter it as noted above.
