Low Carb Breading Mix
« on: September 09, 2017, 03:08:00 PM »
Combine equal parts of almond meal, gluten and grated parmesan cheese.

Pulse the mixture in a food processor until it is a uniform fine powder.

Use as you would any breading medium - dredge the food in the mixture and fry in moderate amounts of fat.

Egg wash may be used for better adhesion of the breading.

Thank you for the breading recipe.  It is one of the best I've tried anywhere.  Glad you had the link tucked safely away.   `8)

Sometimes I've also adjusted the ratios to make it even lower carb by reducing the almond flour . . . that's where the carbs are. So using more gluten & parmesan doesn't add carbs, while using less almond flour definitely reduces the carb content.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of this. Glad I've learned something new. ;D
