When will they ever learn. They still maintain that T2 is reversible with weight loss.

Go back to eating your old way again and it'll all return.
When a medical journal publishes that kind of research, people will believe it, and that is scary.

I don't think that they will learn, at least not in my lifetime.
I was pleased when my current doctor gave me a prescription for test strips for testing 4 times a day.  Medicare covered that and only asked for me to provide my doctor a log showing that I actually tested at least 4 times a day.  A few months ago my prescription changed to 2 times a day and I was mad at my doctor but when I asked her about it she said that Medicare changed it because of my A1c.  Now when I tried to refill the prescription Medicare balked at 2 times a day and my doctor had to send documentation before they would approve it.  The fact that you are achieving your low A1c by testing more often than the once a day they deem adequate means nothing to them.  OTOH my doctor says she has a hard time getting some of her T1 diabetics to test more than once a day.  I'm afraid there are not enough people that are trying to control their bg and they are not given any education on how to do it.  Just take the pill.

Exactly Wally! That is why I am so glad I don't have to go through Medicare for my meds/strips.

I never looked at it from the Insurance angle. Maybe, just maybe, the Insurance companies deliberately give a boost to these studies so that the doctors can withdraw the insurance cover on med supplies. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it's worth a thought.
