I honestly never used it.  If I wanted to print something I just selected it and right clicked and hit print.

I never used it either - honestly didn't realize it was even there.

I honestly never used it.  If I wanted to print something I just selected it and right clicked and hit print.

There’s a difference between the two processes. The Print function will print only the text elements on the page, leaving out the Right Panel, the bells & whistles and the colours. It’s much easier on the printer resources.

When you print the HTML page, it prints all of the content ias an image file and the text may appear very tiny and distorted.

We’ve observed a lot of guests online printing entire threads. Since there was no option to disable the print function just for the guests, we had to disable it completely.

I never printed the whole page, I select the text I want and print that.  I was too stupid to use the print button.  I guess I won't miss it then.  But for anyone who wants to print something, selecting the text and then printing that works quite nicely.

Me too. Missed it completely. A couple of times I have used the Bookmarks feature (is that also disabled?) but I never had any need to print any materials. I do download some of the articles that are made available from time to time.
My life is based on a true story.

@wally, yes, you are right. If you select text and print, it will print as text. Sorry, I misunderstood.

@rocky, The Bookmarks and Notepad buttons have been moved within the Profile Menu. Those features are very much available.
