4 cups of coffee
« on: June 21, 2018, 08:03:30 PM »
A new study shows that a caffeine concentration equivalent to four cups of coffee promotes the movement of a regulatory protein into mitochondria, enhancing their function and protecting cardiovascular cells from damage.

Good news on the food front!

Just when California wants to put warning labels on coffee identifying it as a carcinogen. At least users can stay alert and with hearts protected while undergoing chemo and radiation...

Well, I have 24 ounces each morning which is 4 coffee cups (6 oz) or 3 measuring cups (8 oz) but I imagine they are referring to the 8 oz measuring cups.
Yeah Tamagno, California puts warning labels on everything to the point that people just ignore them anymore.  A lot of what they are putting labels on have no real scientific basis but someone "thinks" it may be a problem.

This has been my thinking all along - that whoever does these studies just publishes it as fact when all it is is their opinion. I don't drink much coffee, but I drink a lot of green tea which still has caffeine, although not as much as coffee. The older I get, the more I ignore all the researchers!

Since dx i have had lots of "bulletproof coffee" but a couple of years ago, my stomach just can't handle all the fat. Green tea/black tea in the morning is what i drink.  I go through phases of what appeals to me. Right now I am off lots of fat.

I love coffee best when it is cold outside.

I like coffee. Four cups a day is easy. I probably do that most days.

The size of your mug makes a big difference too . . . I use a tall latte mug which holds 17 oz., so it adds up in a hurry.
