Good to know, since green tea is one of my favorite beverages. I normally fill a quart carafe with cold water & add two green teabags plus a tiny pinch of salt. No sweetener, no lemon . . . just delicious cold green tea.

;D I have a lot of green tea as well. But then, I really don’t trust the market produce. I hope they sell us real green tea.

Well, I guess if it isn't aged enough, we just get black tea then, right?! It's all the same plant, green tea leaves are just not aged & fermented as long as black tea?

Whatever, it's what brewing in my carafe most days.  ;D

I love a glass of red wine now and then. Do you think that helps? I'm not so fond of the whites. Which one is better. I could contemplate a switch, if that's what is called for.

Well, welcome, Rosyblue!

I’m no expert on the health benefits of wines, but somehow recall red being preferred for the much-discussed anti-aging properties.

Of course, for diabetics, too much alcohol as well as the so-called Mediterranean diet that the wine is generally paired with will not be at all good for glucose control.

However, if used in cooking, many wines, etc. can be successfully used adding great flavors with the alcohol cooked out and leaving few if any carbohydrates.

Keep us posted how you’re doing! A number of us check in daily in the “Fasting BG” section that you may find informative and enjoyable. Please join in if you’re so inclined.
