Hi Rosyblue.  Welcome to the forum.  There are many of us here that have been dealing with diabetes for years and we are happy to answer any questions you may have and hope to give support to anyone dealing with this.  It may require some changes in lifestyle but it is not that hard to deal with.

Hi rosyblue, welcome to the forum!

Can you give us a little more information about how and when you were diagnosed. What were your numbers, did your dr give you any meds? This info can help us help you.

Most of us here follow a low carb/high fat way of eating. The carbs are what raise our blood sugar so the less we eat, the less the rise. A really good resource to learn how to begin to take control of your blood sugar is a site called Blood Sugar 101  http://www.phlaunt.com/diabetes/  For most of us here, that was the first resource for info on how to control our diabetes.

Please ask any and all questions you may have, we are a worldwide group so there is usually always someone around here to help you.

Welcome rosyblue,

You’ve already got good advice. I would additionally ask that you read a bit from our website articles. You can reach them by clicking the Home button or our logo.

Read and ask away and you’ll be on your way to good control.

Thank you so much.
I saw the Blood Sugar site but I guess that it requires a lot of time to read and understand. I will look more into it.

Yeah, there is a lot of information there but it is worth taking the time to digest it.  No rush and if you have any questions be sure to ask here.
