At least someone’s saying it out loud.

I’ll never forget hanging around the labs at no less than Rockefeller University when my wife did her doctoral research there, with most labs doing various brain-related studies. One memorable doc was infusing rat brains with some substance, however he used needles larger than the structure being tested thereby completely obliterating that portion of the brain. Haven’t trusted them since...

Yeah, sometimes it is flawed studies and sometimes it is bad journalism.  I remember an article about a study that I read that drew a conclusion and made that the headline when in the study itself there was a sentence that said that it was showing a need for further study but do not draw a conclusion from it, which is exactly what the author of the article did for a headline.
