Guru Purnima

In India, today we celebrate Guru Purnima. Guru means teacher or guide & Purnima is the Full Moon.
Traditionally, we pay our respects to our teachers & express our gratitude to them for helping to guide us in our journey.
I want to pay respect & express my gratitude to the many teachers that I have found on this forum (and others). Thank you for helping me take control over my diabetes and guiding me to better health.

Adding my thanks too to all the people that taught me and supported me as I picked my way through all the misinformation that came from my dr and other supposed diabetic educators.  It is great to be among like minded people!!

T-2 dx 2/2012 FBG 243 A1c 9.5%
6/2012 A1c 5.7%  In the 4% A1c club since July 2013. 12-2016 A1c 5.1%. 6-2018 A1c 5.3%.
No meds since 3/2015, diet controlled.  Minimal exercise.

A wonderful tradition.  The people of this community have been my teachers and mentors from the start of my gaining control of my diabetes and I don't think I would have been where I am today without them.   ~tku~
